Miss Georgiana Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe Country Life Magazine Portrait, Frontispiece, March 25, 2004. CXCVIII No. 13
Miss Georgiana Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe - Georgiana, aged 25, is the elder daughter of Mr John Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe and Lady Mary Gaye Curzon. An artist, shown here in her Kensal Road studio, Georgiana recently returned from Florence, where she spent four years learning the classical tradition in art. This week, she exhibited bronzes at Hats off to Heathfield, a selling exhibition at Sotheby's, Olympia, of works by current and former Heathfield pupils; and is now preparing her own exhibition of sculptures, drawings and paintings.
This is an authentic original page from Country Life magazine, part of the iconic series often affectionately referred to as the “Girls in Pearls” portraits — elegant society images that captured a distinctive era of British publishing and portraiture.
