The featured frontispiece this week is a portrait of the Hon. Mrs Cary, whose marriage to the Master of Falkland, eldest son of the Viscount and Viscountess Falkland, took place that week. Mrs Cary was a daughter of Captain and Mrs Charles Bonham Southey.

Joan Sylvia Southey married Lucius Henry Charles Plantagenet Cary, Master of Falkland (later the 14th Viscount Falkland), on October 14, 1926.

  • Husband: Lucius Cary was the eldest son of the 13th Viscount and Viscountess Falkland.
