Miss Clemency Williams - An accomplished yachtswoman, Clemency will be one of the few women competing double-handed in the Rolex Fastnet Race, starting from Cowes on August 10. She will be racing her father's yacht, Jos of Hamble, and hopes to raise money for the charity Flip's Fund (see The Bigger Picture, Country Life, July 3). Aged 24, Clemency is the elder daughter of Professor and Mrs Roger Williams, of Brickworth Park, Whiteparish, Wiltshire. Her ambition is to race single-handed across the Atlantic in the Mini-Transat in 2005..
