Miss Rosie Lees-Millais - Rosie, aged 21, is the elder daughter of Mr and Mrs David Lees-Millais, of The Manor, Tytherton Lucas, Wiltshire. Educated at St Mary's Calne, she is about to start her third year reading Classics at Edinburgh. Rosie is pictured here at Castle Tioram, near the Lees-Millais family's estate, GlenMoidart, in Inverness-shire. Her mother also appeared on the COUNTRY LIFE Frontispiece, on September 4, 1980.

This is an authentic original page from Country Life magazine, part of the iconic series often affectionately referred to as the “Girls in Pearls” portraits — elegant society images that captured a distinctive era of British publishing and portraiture.
