The featured frontispiece this week is a portrait of Lady Margaret Scott, eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, whose marriage was to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, to Lieut.-Commander Geoffrey Hawkins, M.V.O., D.S.C., eldest son of Captain and Mrs Montgomery Hawkins and Naval A.D.C. to the Earl of Athlone.
Lady Margaret Scott (1893–1976), known as “Mida” to her family, was the eldest daughter of the 7th Duke of Buccleuch. Her sister, Lady Alice, later became Duchess of Gloucester through her marriage to Prince Henry, son of King George V.
