A Young Man, By Piero Di Cosimo Country Life Magazine Portrait April 5, 1984 Vol. CLXXV No. 4520

A Young Man, By Piero Di Cosimo (c1500) A group of 17 paintings from the Dulwich Picture Gallery, the first art gallery in England regularly open to the public, is on show at Agnew's, 43 Old Bond Street, London W1, until April 18, to mark the launch of an appeal to secure the future of its outstanding collection. The aim is to raise £500,000 for the security, maintenance and restoration of the Gallery, built by Sir John Soane in 1811, and for an endowment fund. A further exhibition of major paintings from Dulwich will be shown in the United States in 1985
