Miss Hannah van Dijk Country Life Magazine Portrait, Frontispiece, February 7 2008. CCII No. 6

Miss Hannah van Dijk - Hannah is the younger daughter of the late Mr Robert van Dijk and of Mrs Lionel Burstow, of Beckenham, Kent. After graduating from Birmingham with a degree in medieval and modern history, she led a gap-year team teaching at schools in Africa. Pictured here in the cloisters at Charterhouse, where she teaches history, Hannah is now preparing to compete in a marathon and a triathlon in aid of the Rhema Partnership.

This is an authentic original page from Country Life magazine, part of the iconic series often affectionately referred to as the “Girls in Pearls” portraits — elegant society images that captured a distinctive era of British publishing and portraiture.
