  • Groom: Mark Everard Pepys, 6th Earl of Cottenham (1903–1943), a noted racing driver and later an officer with MI5.
  • Marriage and Family: The couple had two daughters before their divorce in 1939: Lady Rose Edith Idina Pepys (1927–2021) and Lady Paulina Mary Louise Pepys (1930–2017).
  • Later Life: Following the divorce, Venetia Taylor married Charles Christopher Courtenay, 17th Earl of Devon. They had two children, Lady Katherine Felicity Courtenay and Hugh Rupert Courtenay, later the 18th Earl of Devon.
  • Succession: The 6th Earl of Cottenham died in 1943 without a male heir, and the title passed to his younger brother, John Digby Thomas Pepys.
