The featured frontispiece this week is a portrait of Lady Millicent Taylour, the only daughter of the Marquess and Marchioness of Headfort.

Lady Millicent Taylour (1907–1975) was 18 years old at the time of this publication.

  • Later Life: The marriage ended in divorce in 1936. She later resumed her maiden name Taylour by deed poll in 1941 and did not remarry.
  • Family Background: Her mother, Rosie Boote (1878–1958), was a prominent figure of the Edwardian era, rising from stage actress to high society after her marriage in 1901, which caused considerable public attention at the time.
