Miss Lucy Bromley Gardner - Lucy, 19 next Sunday, is the elder daughter of Colonel and Mrs Michael Bromley Gardner, of Coombe Cottage, Charlton, Wiltshire. Having just left St Mary's School, Shaftesbury, with three Grade As, she hopes to read philosophy and French at university. Lucy hunts and events, and is now working to fund her gap year, when she will be teaching in France and travelling to India as a volunteer with Africa and Asia Venture.
