This beautifull hand coloured botanical plate is from a book on British wild flowers illustrated by John Sowerby. This plated being from an edition published in 1914. These plates were all hand finished in colour. A very time consuming job I would imagine.
There is a page of text that will accompany this print that describes each of the 20 plants.
The size of page is approx. 9.5 x 6.1 inches.
As with all old prints there may be minor imperfections. I have shown a very detailed scan so that any marks can be easily seen....Please study the scanned image for all details.
