Nicolas Tassin Maps

Nicolas Tassin was appointed ‘Royal Cartographer’ by King Louis XIII of France before setting up as an engraver in Paris where he produced many minature maps and plans of France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain. These were bound into small map books as listed below. All of the original antique Nicolas Tassin maps on this site are from his Les Plans et Profiles De Toutes Les Principales Villes et Lieux Considerables de France. They are also from the first edition published in 1634.
